Our History

Our History

Founded by Captain (Late) Sultan Shakir, Charterhouse Public School has been a centre of premium excellence since 1987. The value of human dignity is one of the cornerstones of our operating philosophy. We value long-term relationships - with business partners, parents, students, and our own staff. The School is entirely independent, receiving no grant from the government or any other source, and is managed by a Board of Directors.

Charterhouse Public School is an academically-selective, co-educational day school which values learning and scholarship, promotes service to others and puts a premium on the extra-curricular life of the school.

Charterhouse Public School started with kindergarten classes with a complete “Montessori Focus” inspired by the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori, on different stages of children. Over time, the school gradually increased its capacity to offer higher grade levels and finally, in 1993, its first batch of Matric graduated with flying colors. Charterhouse Public School is affiliated with Karachi Board of Education and provides Cambridge level education from Grades I – VIII in a very competitive fee structure. Rebranded in 2015, our new logo signifies an aesthetic representation of the CPS culture that resonates with the motto of Pakistan: Faith, Unity, Discipline.

The Owner of the school is Mrs. Sofia Shakir, who has been looking after the academic operations since 1987.

Joined as Administrator in 2014, Mr. Salman S.
